The Buzz: A-Town Thrift to close, move
A-Town Thrift’s lease was bought out and it will close March 20.
The business opened in August at 706 E. Wisconsin Ave. in Appleton, and since that time its building was sold.
“Kwik Trip is going in next door and they bought out our lease for additional space for their development,” said Shawn Wilde, owner with wife Amy. “We’re probably not closing permanently because we’re looking for another location in Appleton. We’re aiming to reopen somewhere in a couple of months.”
Kwik Trip purchased the former Express Convenience Store location at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Meade Street and is currently remodeling the building.
Wilde said they’ll keep customers informed via Facebook.
